There are certain features that can be telltale signs of a nakshatra, even if the natives do not always look overtly similar across all features. There are a few specific features I love to check for when I'm suspecting that Vishakha विशाखा nakshatra (20° Libra/Tula – 3° 20′ Scorpio/Vrishchika) may be present. Vishaka beauty tends to have a cherubic, porcelain, delicate & heavenly quality to it. Vishakha's can be especially spotted by their emphasized and broad mid-face; they have cheekbones which grow outwardly to a strong extent (rather than upwardly), with firm, large, and very defined cheek apples which are slightly low-set. This gives the cheeks a very full and rounded appearance.
Their foreheads are generally medium to tall in height, with a more narrow and short jawline. Vishaka's eyes are most typically small to medium in size, generally widely-spaced (and sometimes very widely-spaced-- as I show in a slide below), and slightly deep-set. The wide-set aspect of the eyes is interesting in regards to Vishaka meaning the split branch and involving concepts of things growing in separate directions. Like trine Jupiter-ruled Purva Bhadrapada, the gaze/natural expression can appear distant or detached.
The Vishaka mouth is angelically long and downturned, with generally medium to full lips, a horizontally-elongated cupid's bow, and small (often generally spacey) teeth. Their noses are plump (wide in the bridge and tip), with a fleshy and slightly flattened sloping bridge, and a triangular & lightly downturned tip. As I explore in a slide below, highlighting the heavenly or other-worldly quality, Vishaka natives are drawn towards a "galactic", celestial, & divine aesthetic. Vishaka is a very artistic & highly musical nakshatra, and I explore how Vishaka women have influenced the art world for centuries in a full chapter of my artistic ebook below.
You can watch my new Youtube-short to see Vishaka beauty in motion (it can also be found on instagram @claire.nakti or tiktok @clairenakti). As with everything in astrology, these features to check for are a tendency not a rule for Vishakha's physical appearance. A person's other primary placements will bring in features as well, though one will tend to come to the surface the most strongly (relating to their dominant planet); one can have a Vishaka primary placement but be dominated by one of their other primary placements instead.
In this way, I seek in these posts to isolate the Vishaka nakshatra appearance influence as much as possible by finding the most consistent common physical ground amongst its natives, while having awareness that each individual you're seeing has other astrological influences at play as well that make them unique. I wanted to make these posts so that you don't have to rely on two people looking strikingly similar to know they share a nakshatra, but rather can more consciously/logically check for certain revealing features even amongst people who have many differences.
